A slug is the readable part of a URL that identifies a page, like /best-online-tools. This generator turns any title into a clean slug: lowercase, words joined with hyphens, accents removed (é → e), & turned into “and”, and punctuation dropped. Paste many titles — one per line — to create slugs in bulk for blog posts, products or categories.

Hyphens or underscores?
Use hyphens for web URLs — Google treats a hyphen as a word separator, but an underscore joins words together. Underscores are fine for file names and code.
Should I remove filler words?
Shorter slugs are easier to read and share, so removing words like “the”, “a” and “of” is common. The tool never removes every word from a title.
What happens to Hindi and other non-English titles?
By default only English letters and numbers are kept, which works everywhere. Tick “Keep non-English letters” to keep words in other alphabets — modern browsers and search engines support these URLs.
How does the maximum length work?
Slugs longer than the limit are shortened at the last complete word, so words are never cut in half. 0 means no limit.
