FAQ
Do spaces and line breaks count as characters?
Yes, in the main total. “Without spaces” excludes spaces, tabs and line breaks. Both numbers are shown so you can use whichever your platform counts.
How are emoji counted?
Each emoji counts as one character, even emoji built from several code points such as flags or skin tones. Some platforms count emoji as two characters, so leave a small margin near a limit.
Are the platform limits exact?
They are common guideline limits and can change. For example, Google shortens meta descriptions by pixel width, so about 155–160 characters is a safe target.
