About this tool

This CSS minifier removes comments, whitespace and redundant code from your stylesheets, shortens colours and values, and can merge duplicate rules — making CSS files smaller so pages load faster. It uses CSSO and shows exactly how many bytes you save.

How to use

  1. Paste your CSS into the Input box. It is minified as you type.
  2. Choose whether to keep /*! licence */ comments and whether to restructure (merge) rules.
  3. Copy the minified CSS or download it as a .min.css file.

FAQ

What does “Restructure rules” do?

It merges rules with the same selectors or declarations and removes overridden properties, which usually gives a smaller file. Turn it off if you need the original rule order kept exactly.

Will minified CSS look different?

No. Minification only removes characters the browser does not need; the page looks the same.

Is my code uploaded?

No. Minification runs in your browser, and your code never leaves your device.
